If you have a number of short video or audio files that you want to upload, it can take a while to upload each of them one-by-one. A good solution to this is to create what is called a zip file. A zip file can be useful in two ways; firstly it means that you can upload multiple files all in one go, and secondly, compressing your files means faster upload and less storage space. So, how do you create a zip file?

Firstly, on your desktop (or wherever you want to create your zip file to store your video or audio files), right click and select “create zip file”. Name your zip file as required.
Next, drag and drop the video or audio files that you want to upload for transcription into your new, appropriately named zip file. You now have all of your files in one place, ready to upload.

If you are using Transcription City for your transcription services, simply select “Upload Files” from the main menu bar on our website. From there, fill in your details and then upload the entire zip file all in one go!

If you would like more information on how to create a zip file or would like to receive a quote for any of our transcription, editing, formatting, proofreading or typing services please get in touch via email, instant message or telephone. We are always happy to help.
